Quest for Harb’s Daughter Team Review

Before anything, I have to say I really thought we were winning this season. Gameplay and skill-wise we were the best team if both teams played their average gameplay. However, on our first-ever playoff series, our stack got tilted and lost focus and we out now…

Let’s take it back, I really wasn’t interested in Dota in a while but it changed at the start of this season. Playing with Zakke gave me that spirit and I wanted to be good at the game again. I actually started playing ranked after a long time and got my immortal back during this season. (Even had fun in soloq some of the games)

I was a bit worried after the draft since my previous experiences with Svekt and Acid weren’t great but after the season I think they handle themselves a lot better now. It was a fun experience.

All of our players knew their role to some extend and did well unless they were tilted. Our group stage was almost perfect we only lost 2 games when we were trying new heroes/lineups.

Fred

Fred only played Jakiro and Witchdoctor this season and the man didn’t complain about it a single time. What a fucking beast this man is. Really good with warding and dewarding, we both lacked a bit of making calls and plays but imo he was great at following calls. (Zakke might disagree since he expects people to teleport and be next to him it doesn’t matter when he is a 522 ms NS flying and ur a 200 ms Snapfire)
I would play again with Fred any day and I apologize for thinking he was American. (And sorry for spitting him into five heroes as Snap)

Roran

I still can’t shot call properly but gameplay-wise I improved a lot this season. It’s pointless to talk about myself much but I’m happy I got Immortal and improved quite a bit.

Zakke

Zakke was the backbone of this team. He did tilt himself sometimes but in general, he held it all together quite well. Controlled both acid and svekt and I don’t think we lost our lane together a single time this season. Had some questionable calls one or two times but other than that was really a pleasure being on the same team. He also did the drafts but we had some panic moments where we ran out of time. It’s not really because of him cores couldn’t decide what they wanted but I expected him to shut them up and go of his own gut feeling.

Acid

Acid many times asked to change his role during the drafts and that's what ended us during the playoffs. Zakke finally had enough and gave him mid which was underwhelming compared to his carry. He has done well as a carry even though the Fred Acid lane usually didn’t go well he would usually have items and knew how to farm. Couldn’t say the same about his mid didn’t do much as SF mid until he had his hex and by then it was a bit too late. It just looked like he wasn’t confident at the hero. But rest of the season he held it in quite well tilted rarely(sometimes shit-talking supports cuz they don’t do anything first 15–20 mins. I was just a poor es trying to farm myblink so I can be useful :sadge: ) Was a rather refreshing experience playing with Acid after the last time we played together. He is a good carry but I don’t understand his logic with some of his calls/random talks/and wanting to change his role.

Svekt

Honestly, this time around playing with Svekt wasn’t bad. It felt like literally having a kid. It's fun to have it around, sometimes brings you joy but becomes too much at the end and you start wondering can you get away with dropping it in a back alley and driving away. Jokes aside I think Svekt tried his best in all games we played and he barely tilted. It’s a huge improvement for him compared to the last time we played. (going afk jungle as lvl 3 QOP)
One thing I can say is he still needs to turn down his hyper levels and focus on the game more. One step at a time… We will get there.

Closing words

I haven’t been this upset about losing an RD2L series in a while, it just shows how much fun I had with this team and I didn’t want it to end. We even played some side tourney for a while with the stack and it went well. I had a good time and improved my Dota skill. Can’t ask for much more from an RD2L season. Thanks to all my teammates and best of luck on their future endeavors.

Ofc I will use my admin powers to get Xela’s team out for shit-talking in all chat so this season is not even over baby see you guys on the 2nd team review.
